An application for graduation form is required of all students. The form is available in the UMKC Records Office and on the web at http://www.umkc.edu/registrar/forms/graduation.pdf. The form should be completed and submitted to the UMKC Records Office at the beginning of the academic year prior to graduation. In order to graduate in any given semester, students must apply prior to the deadline for that semester which is the end of the fourth week of classes in Fall and Spring semesters and at the end of the second week of classes in Summer semesters. Students are encouraged to check with the UMKC Records Office to confirm that they are listed as an applicant for graduation at least three months ahead of their graduation date. Changes to Anticipated Graduation Date Students who need to alter their graduation plans need to submit a new application for graduation to the UMKC Records Office. The semester and other information listed on the new application for graduation will be used to replace the information previously submitted. All deadlines for the new semester of graduation apply to applicants that are altering their semester of graduation.
