[1] Also known as "Admission with Advanced Standing."

[2] Also known as "Admission by Certification."

[3] This information is contained in the School's on-line catalogue at http://www.umkc.edu/umkc/catalog-grad/html/law/0000.html. See specifically, "Academic Program."

[4] Available on the UMKC website: http://www1.law.umkc.edu/admissions/index.htm

[5] Applications submitted by fax or email will not be considered unless prior authorization is given to send an application or other materials electronically -- to be followed immediately by an original. Similarly, all signatures must be original, not photocopies.

[6] The certification must include a statement that the student is in good academic standing, has not violated that school's student honor code and whether or not the school is aware of any negative information regarding character or fitness to become a member of the legal profession.

[7] May be waived in the case of students transferring from the University of Missouri - Columbia.

[8] The UMKC School of Law generates an unofficial in-house transcript that is acceptable to most institutions. The transferring student should be aware, though, that the school to which she is applying may insist upon an official university transcript which must be requested by the student from the UMKC Registrar, 116 Administrative Center. Typically, the transcript must be mailed directly by UMKC, not by the student.

[9] Applications submitted by fax or email will not be considered unless prior authorization is given to send an application or other materials electronically -- to be followed immediately by an original. Similarly, all signatures must be original, not photocopies.
