2008 Ireland Summer Study Abroad Program
May 17, 2008 - June 15, 2008
The
University of Missouri - Kansas City School of Law is proud to offer this
great and exciting opportunity for students to study law abroad over a four week
period and offer both an opportunity to learn and to travel for 6.0 hours of
ABA-approved credit.
Our Ninth Annual Summer Law Program is held in conjunction with the Diseart Cultural Centre in Dingle, Co. Kerry, Ireland, National University of Ireland-Galway and University College University-Dublin. We began the program with UCD in 1999 and branched out to include NUI and the Diseart 3 years ago. Program coursework provides U.S. law students with an opportunity to focus on the conduct of commerce within the European community from a uniquely Irish-American perspective. The program is designed to provide students with an understanding of the legal structure, institutions, and social history of both Irish political entities and the laws applicable to the conduct of commerce by foreign (including U.S.) companies in Ireland and through Ireland to the European continent.
During the course of your studies you will see, experience and enjoy many of the sights, sounds and tastes of the unforgettable Emerald Isle that are pictured throughout this site. Pictured here are some of the sights of Ireland you may want to venture out and explore on your own over weekends or during the built in Summer Break. The Kylemore Abbey (pictured top right) is 50 miles from Galway.
