
Cost
of $4,550 includes instructional fees,
on-site lodging, field trips, package tours to local
attractions and a farewell reception. Accommodations are based on
multiple-occupancy units. Adult companions may accompany students for
$2,550, which includes lodging and the tours/activities. Costs of
passports, laundry, insurance, telephone calls excess baggage charges, optional
excursions and other expenses of a purely personal nature are NOT included.
Meals
are not included in the fee, but are available in University restaurants and
facilities. You should plan on an average of at least $50 per day for 3
full meals on-campus. There are a number of cafes/restaurants to choose from at
NUI-Galway
and a small
supermarket at Merville apartments at
UCD-Dublin. Pub and restaurant
prices are considerably higher. However, use of the apartment kitchens
should ameliorate food costs substantially.

Financial aid
Students seeking financial aid must apply to their own school's Financial Aid Office. Visiting students should contact their home institution's financial aid coordinator. UMKC will supply support documents and Consortium Agreements for visiting students upon request.

*Please note: Travel costs can vary extensively, depending on choice of airlines, point of departure, routing, itinerary, etc. Some may find airfare at significantly higher or lower rates - up to $500 - than the estimate. Early reservations are highly recommended due to the ongoing increases in jet fuel costs and subsequently higher passenger rates.
***Food estimate is based on use of on-campus venues or self-catering faculties available in student apartments. Eating out will considerably increase food costs.

Insurance - emergency medical evacuation and expatriation of remains coverage is required by the University for all program participants. Estimate is based on group coverage available through HTH Worldwide for $35 a month. You may choose another plan with additional benefits which could increase the specified budget allotment.
