Kansas Bar Exam Information
The Kansas Bar Examination is given for two days on both the last Tuesday and Wednesday of February and July.
Kansas Essay Examination
The first day of the examination is devoted to the essay examination given by the board. The essay examination will consist of sixteen essay questions drafted by the Kansas Board of Law Examiners. Kansas Supreme Court Rule 704(e) provides that the Kansas Bar Examination tests applicants upon such of the following, or other subjects, as the board may require:

Multistate Bar Exam
The second day of the examination is devoted to the examination commonly
referred to as the "Multistate Bar Examination" prepared by the National
Conference of Bar Examiners, which cover such subjects as determined by the
National Conference of Bar Examiners. The exam consists of 200 multiple-choice
questions on the following topics:
- Constitutional Law
- Contracts
- Criminal Law
- Evidence
- Real Property
- Torts
