ABA Legal Opportunity Scholarship Fund
The Scholarship Fund awards $5,000 of financial assistance annually to each scholarship recipient attending an ABA-accredited law school.
The mission of the Legal Opportunity Scholarship Fund is to encourage racial and ethnic minority students to apply to law school and to provide financial assistance to ensure that these students have the opportunity to attend law school for three years.

ABA of Kansas City (AABAKC) Diversity Scholarship
The Asian American Bar Association of Kansas City (AABAKC) plans to award a $1,000 and a $500 Diversity Scholarship to eligible law students who demonstrate a commitment to serve or contribute to the
Asian American community as future leaders.
To be eligible, law students must be a dues-paying law student member of AABAKC
and enrolled in an ABA accredited law school (either as a first-year or
second-year full-time student).

ABA Section of Business Law Diversity Clerkship Program
This is a summer program providing business law internship placements for qualified diverse candidates who are first or second year law students.

ABA Section of Business Law Mendes Hershman Student Writing Contest
Each ABA-accredited law school, acting through its dean, is asked to nominate, by January 4, 2008, one paper on a high quality business law topic written in the 2007-2008 or current academic year by a student currently enrolled in the law school's J.D. program. The paper may be 1) specifically prepared for this contest; 2) submitted in a class, seminar, or as an independent study; or 3) a proposed law review/journal note, comment or article.

ABA Section of Litigation Judicial Intern Opportunity Program
The Judicial Intern Opportunity Program is a full-time, six-week minimum,
summer internship program open to all first- or second-year minority and/or financially
disadvantaged law students who want to do legal research and writing for state or federal
judges in participating cities. Interns will receive an award of $1,500.

Cole County Bar Association Scholarship
The Cole County Bar Association of Missouri is pleased to announce it is taking applications for the 2009-2010 law student scholarship. The scholarship will be awarded to a Cole County resident on the basis of academic achievement and financial need. Preference will be given to an applicant who is related to a member of or has a connection with the Cole County Bar Association. The amount of the scholarship will be determined by the number of recipients.
Scholarship applications are due postmarked by October 26, 2009.

Constangy, Brooks & Smith Diversity Scholars Award
Constangy, Brooks & Smith will grant a Diversity Scholars Award of $3000.00 to a deserving second year law student in each of the regions where the Firm has offices. Dorothy Atkinson Legal Education Scholarship Fund
This scholarship was named in honor of Mrs. Richard Atkinson, a past president,
who worked diligently in cooperation with other Barristers’ Wives to secure the
needed incorporation of the National Barristers’ Wives in February, 1953.

Henry C. McDougal Northwest Missouri
Legal Scholarship Fund
The McDougal Scholarship provides one
or more scholarships to students attending one of Missouri's accredited law schools. Recipients must be
a resident of northwest Missouri, which is defined to include the following counties: Atchison, Nodaway,
Holt, Worth, Gentry, Andrew, Dekalb, Clinton, Clay, Buchanan, Platte, Jackson, Lafayette, Ray, Caldwell,
Daviess, Harrison, Mercer, Grundy, Livingston and Carroll.
Among the most important factors to be considered by the Trustees of the Missouri Bar Foundation in granting
scholarships to northwest Missouri residents to attend a Missouri law school will be academic scholarship
and financial need.

Howard Fox Memorial Law Scholarship
The Howard Fox Memorial Law Scholarship Award of $3,000 is presented
annually at the Berks County Bar Association Law Day Event. It is given to help fund a deserving Berks County, Pennsylvania, resident

The Robert Masur Fellowship for Civil Liberties
The Robert Masur Fellowship for Civil Liberties, open to first-year law students. Offered annually by The Nation Institute, it consists of a $1000 honorarium for students who intend to carry out significant activities during the summer (in between their first and second year) in the areas of civil rights and/or civil liberties. Proposed activities may include a writing or research project, work with a public interest organization in the areas of civil rights or civil liberties, work on a civil rights or civil liberties law case under the supervision of a faculty member or lawyer, or any other work in the areas of civil rights or civil liberties.
