THE ENTERTAINMENT LAW: LAW 870 

The film, television, cable and music industries represent the core entertainment businesses to a majority of entertainment lawyers.  The course text we will use will focus primarily on those industries.  The course text is Sherri Burr & William Henslee, Entertainment Law, Cases and Materials on Film, Television, and Music (1st. ed. 2004).  In each of the film, television and music industries, the course will cover a range of entertainment law topics, including copyright protection, contracting and contract representation, star billing, credit and compensation and finally censorship.
