Everything students do in their three years of law school, from briefing cases to preparing for exams, is designed to equip them for the active practice of law. Because all students begin law school unfamiliar with the skills successful law students and lawyers must acquire, they must develop new approaches to learning and significantly retool their existing learning and analytical skills.

To help students acquire and refine those skills quickly and efficiently, UMKC School of Law provides a multifaceted Law School Strategies Program to demystify those skills. The program is designed to give every student direct, practical training in techniques tailored to the study and mastery of law.
