Pedigree of the primary case highlighting the primary case, subsequent cases, and previous case authority relied upon by the primary case.So far in KeyCite, you have learned how to perform citation analysis on a primary case (Davis v. Beason) and its subsequent citing cases.

As with Shepard's in Lexis, you may also check the status of legal authority relied upon by the primary case by using the TOA (Table of Authorities) tab.  Davis v. Beason relied upon two cases, both of which now have caution warnings .  The links to "301" take you to page 301 of Davis v. Beason (to the place where Murphy and Reynolds are cited).
